About Us
EventZone was created in 2003 when various existing event organizers merged to become one. Festival in the Park and the City of Roanoke’s Special Events Committee joined forces to form an organization that would assure the continuation of quality festivals for downtown Roanoke and would provide a corporate umbrella that could assist in growing these existing events.
EventZone is also charged with assisting in the creation of new festivals and activities in the Downtown Roanoke “event zone,” which is defined as all areas bound by Williamson Road, 6th Street, SW, the Roanoke Civic Center, and Rivers Edge Park.
The EventZone staff has collectively over 45 years in event planning experience. Last year, EventZone administered and managed seven major events (some with multiple dates), which attracted over 75,000 people from both in and outside of the Roanoke Valley.
