The “EVENT ZONE”

The Mission of EventZone is to promote and produce events that both reflect the character and spirit of the Roanoke Valley and have positive economic, educational, or cultural impact.

EventZone is a private non-profit organization working in cooperation with the City of Roanoke and other festival producing organizations to help attract and deliver dozens of festivals each year in the Roanoke Valley.

EventZone produces Festival in the Park, the SunTrust Big Lick Blues, the Roanoke’s St. Patrick’s Day Celebration (including the McDonald’s St. Pat’s Parade Parade and the Celtic Festival),

BB&T’s Party in the Park, the Kroger Cabin Fever Series, the Derby Day Gala and others.  We also help and assist other organizations with producing their events in many ways.

Roanoke has been called the “Festival City” for good reason.  Over thirty festivals and events are hosted in downtown Roanoke annually.

These festivals represent a complete cross section of our community.  These celebrations help define Roanoke and our wider community; most events

are executed by volunteers, some logging hundreds of hours over decades of service.
