The “ZONE”

EventZone is a private non-profit organization that works in cooperation with the City of Roanoke and other festival producing organization to help attract and put on dozens of festivals each year in “The Zone”.  EventZone does not run all the events and festivals in downtown, but we do directly run many, and for those we don’t run directly, we do help and assist their producing organizations in many ways. Roanoke has been called the “Festival City” for good reason.  Each year, 30 or more festivals and events are hosted in downtown Roanoke.  These festivals represent a complete cross section of our community.  In facts these celebrations help define Roanoke and our wider community – especially when you consider these festivals include, engage and in most instances are run by volunteers from our community – some for decades.

In Downtown Roanoke, “The Zone”  is defined as all areas bound by Williamson Road to the East, The Jefferson Center on 6th Street to the West,  the Roanoke Civic Center to the North, and Rivers Edge Park at Reserve Avenue to the South. See Map below:
