For musical fans in Roanoke and the surrounding region – the first Down By The River musical event on Friday, May 7, 2010, is just the beginning of great things to come. It’s more than a concert – Kirk Avenue Music Hall, in association with EventZone, plans to set the stage with great music but there’s more. It includes a relaxed atmosphere within a comfortable setting, along with your friends (old and new), under cover, with great sound and lights system, at the base of Mill Mountain next to the Roanoke River. You can even walk from South Roanoke or arrive using the Roanoke City
Greenway. Chairs are provided for all guests with “festival seating”
(no reserved seats). And capacity is limited to 1,500, so everyone will have a great view.
background to entertain and connect with an audience like few artists can. To round off the evening, we’re pleased to present Roanoke Valley’s own, immensely talented, Corey Hunley.
Here’s another way to be part of this event, a limited number of volunteers are needed to perform various duties like serving beverages. You’ll get a Free Kirk Avenue Music Hall T-shirt and a we’ll feed you too! Email Larry Landolt for more information.
