I believe it’s time for a renovation of the park. I do not however want to see anything removed and replaced with buildings or anything like that. I’d love to see maybe a small pond brought back. I think it would be cool to have somewhere for people of Roanoke to get married as well because as of now, it’s hard to imagine a wedding at Elmwood Park, but would be cool to Downtown Roanoke lovers.

I love the Festival in the Park. I have gone almost every year for most of my life. I miss the old festival that lasted 2 weekends included the river boat races and rubber ducky race, included Wasena Park as well as downtown activities. These are wonderful childhood memories that I wish my children would have the chance to enjoy. I still enjoy the Festival and will continue to support it, I just wish it was longer and included some of the old activities.

Favorite is Jim Quick & Coastline. Enjoy the Shakers & the Embers & the Royal Kings. Would love to see Key West next year on the list-would be good to have them at the Cabin Fever Series. The House Band I heard last year & I was hoping they would be playing this year-they are a really good band too. We need to be able to keep the party going all year somewhere!

Just finalized the ‘11 Kroger Cabin Fever Series schedule – Jan. 21 – The Embers; Feb. 18 – BAND OF OZ; & March 4 – Jim Quick Coastline. An all-star lineup!
